I'm stupid.
And I was trying to upload the wrong file. In any case, the correct one is now being uploaded and the music should be yours to enjoy in minutes.

Episode Three...
... is currently flying through cyber-space at lightning speed. I've also decided to stop putting a theme with each show, didn't feel like it was really worth it. I know the volume fluxuated a little bit in the last episode, and I'm working on it. By next episode it should be perfect. Many of the tracks featured on this episode are rare tracks from radio shows and bootleg recordings, and I plan on playing as much rare stuff as possible in the future, hopefully you appreciate that. Anyways, here's the setlist:
1. Free For All by Art Blakey
2. An Improvisation by Medeski Martin and Wood
3. Dawn by Mahavishnu Orchestra
4. Physical Form by The Freestyle Fellowship
5. Reza > Giant Steps > Reza by Jaco Pastorius
6. Moment's Notice by McCoy Tyner

Episode Two...
... should be ready to go in about 20 minutes. Some good news - the podcast was just reviewed and accepted by itunes, so now when you search "The Fringe" in the Itunes Music Store you'll see the feed (but not before you look through the other podcasts with 'fringe' in the title.) Episode two is a full hour. I definitely see myself running out of theme ideas sooner rather than later, but we'll see what happens. In any case, have a setlist:
This week's theme: "The Acoustic Element"
1. 16 x 16 by The David Grisman Quintet (feat. Jerry Garcia)
2. Blue Monk by Thelonious Monk
3. America Latina by Paco De Lucia and Ramon de Algeciras
4. India by Shakti
5. Jive Samba by Cannonball Adderley
6. Gloria's Step by Bill Evans
7. Kisofim by Masada
Right on.

Episode One...
... is uploading now. This one is 30 minutes but future episodes will be a full hour. Just did the half hour to make sure things were going smoothly, which they are. I think I will upload a full hour later this week, then do one each week after that. I'm also toying with the idea of having each episode feature music that all connects with a theme. Maybe not. Without further delay, the setlist:
Today's theme: "The Sampler"
1. Hadasha by Electric Masada
2. Funky Blue Note by Madlib
3. Colors by Pharoah Sanders
4. I Set My Face to the Hillside by Tortoise
And if you dig any of this stuff you ought to go pick up the record, these artists deserve it.

Coming Soon
Hello there.
Basically,
The game plan here is to create a podcast of music from artists who think differently. Anything from free jazz to folk, I plan to play music that challenges convention.
I'm sure this will all make more sense once I figure out how to do a podcast.
Stay tuned.
This is where it will be located: http://www.gcast.com/u/themelon/main
Hopefully.
